MELEKE Born in Lusaka, Zambia on New Years day, Meleke started singing at the age of 7 years and has since then lead musical projects on different levels. Meleke derived from his native tongue means "milk and honey", or "milky honey" and has been used to typify the smooth flowing texture of Meleke's voice. In 1991 Meleke gave his life to Christ and since then has been growing into the fullness of Christ. Meleke currently attends The Dominion Center under Pastor Sam, where he leads his church on numerous occasions in worship. Meleke listens to R&B, Hip Hop and Soul, and has been influenced by the likes of Fred Hammond & Commissioned, Donnie McClurkin,Donnel Jones, Musiq Soulchild to name a few. Meleke writes most of his music being inspired of the Lord, while he also gets inspiration from situations surrounding him or fellowshipping at the studio with like minded and spirited producers. Meleke's style is contemporary gospel music encompassing R&B, Hip hop, Soul, and traditional worship. He has been compared to Donnel Jones and Eric Burnett, hearing Meleke sing will tell you why. Meleke will be releasing his debut album titled "The journey to Luminosity" after the DEBUTE SINGLE release titled "ANYDAY" very SOON! It promises to be the answer to UK gospel music crossover.
